Register to Vote

Illinois residents may register to vote in person, online or by mail.

The easiest way to register is to go to the state's website and complete your application at:  https://ova.elections.il.gov/

Election Day registration is offered in the State of Illinois. Voters are required to show two forms of ID, one with a current address, to their polling place.  Voters may also update their voting information on Election Day.

Voting In Person

Cook County residents may register to vote with a deputy registrar in the Rich Township Clerk's office.

Voting Online

If you have an Illinois driver's license or state ID, you may register to vote online through the Illinois State Board of Elections website.

Voting by Mail

If you don't have a driver's license or State ID, you may fill out a form online, print, sign, and mail it in.

Become an Election Judge!

Are you interested in strengthening our democracy by facilitating elections, and making money doing so?

Judges make between $200 and $350 by monitoring polling places on election days (including early voting).

 

To be eligible to serve as an election judge, you must be:

• A U.S. citizen

• A resident of Cook County

• A registered voter at your current address in Cook County

• Able to speak, read and write English

• Of good understanding and capable of performing the duties of an election judge
