We assist with emergencies such as major fires and accide nt injuries, and we look for lost children and Alzheimer patients. We also coordinate with and support other local E.S.D.A. units. Direct (708) 748- 6722 ext. 5917 CHerron@richtownship.org Responsibilities of the Board of Trustees The Township Board consists of five members: the Supervisor as chairman, and four other members, each of whom has one vote. The town board is the legislative branch of township government, which establishes policy for the township to follow. Policies established by the town board are generally carried out by the supervisor and clerk in their capacities as administrators. The town board may not establish policies for either the township assessor or the highway commissioner. The township trustees are responsible for certifying tax levies for the township and road district. In the case of the road district, the amount of the levy is to be determined by highway commissioner. The town board of trustees is also responsible for adopting the annual budget and appropriation ordinance for the town, general assistance, and road and bridge funds. The trustees are also responsible for approving all town expense and auditing bills submitted for payment by the highway commissioner. The trustees have an obligation to approve all legally incurred bills to the extent that there is an appropriation for the expenditure. Conversely, the trustees have an obligation to reject for payment, all bills, including those for the road district that are not legally incurred debts.

Our mission is to provide enriching experiences that promote wellness, connection, and active community engagement. Podiatry Podiatry services are offered on the 1st Friday of each month, provided by a licensed Podiatrist. Enjoy this convenient service to address your foot health needs. Blood Pressure Screenings (Registered Nurse) Free blood pressure screenings are offered on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Stay on top of your health with this convenient service! In Home Support For over 20 years, we've been dedicated to providing professional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities in Rich Township. Our mission is to bridge the gap In-Home services, ensuring that those in need receive the care and assistance they deserve. We offer personalized services that help individuals stay in their homes by assisting with daily tasks, tailored to each person's unique needs. Services are based on a client needs assessment and can be adjusted at any time. Our services include: Light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping) Bathroom and kitchen cleaning Trash removal Laundry Transportation to local appointments and shopping within Rich Township or nearby areas (up to 3-4 stops per visit) Medical appointments Grocery shopping Hair appointments Light meal preparation or meal reheating Monthly Resource Fairs The Senior Center hosts monthly Resource Chat Sessions, offering helpful information and services for Seniors. Senior Center Weekly Lunch Lunch is served every Wednesday at 12:00 PM at the Senior Center, offering a choice of a box lunch with a sub sandwich, fruit, chips, and a cookie, OR a chef salad. It’s a great opportunity to socialize with fellow seniors in our cozy café area. Before lunch, join us for Bingo at 11:00 AM. Meals are just $5.00 each. We welcome volunteers to help serve lunch, even if it's just once a month. Bingo and lunch are offered weekly during the school district's active session. AARP Meeting AARP meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at the Senior Center. Steven R. Burris Trustee Steven R. Burris was born into a family where he learned the value of civic responsibility from his uncle, Former U.S. Senator Roland Burris. He attended Eastern Illinois University and received a B.S. in Finance and earned a MBA degree from Lewis University, majoring in Finance. He is also certified to sit for the CPA exam. He has lived in Country Club Hills for over 30 years and Steven's experience and commitment to public service began as a staff member for his uncle where he served for many years.
