Every Illinois township elects four Trustees at-large and a Supervisor who together comprise the Township Board. The Board of Trustees assists the Supervisor in the creation of all Township policy. Each member has one vote on all issues brought before the Board. Meet your Rich Township Trustees:
Karen D. Caesar-SmithKaren Caesar-Smith
Trustee Caesar-Smith is President of CS Consulting, an event planning and management firm. She also serves as a committee chair of Marylake Estates Homeowners Association in Country Club Hills; a member of Rich Central High School's Parent Teacher Staff Organization; a guest lecturer for Columbia College; and as a member of the Wooten Choral Ensemble of Chicago.
Therese GoodrichTherese Goodrich
Trustee Goodrich is a former Trustee and representative to the National League of Cities for the Village of Park Forest, and served as chair of the Park Forest 50th anniversary celebration. She is a recipient of the Matteson Area Chamber of Commerce "Athena Award," was honored as an Abby Foundation "Woman of the Year, " and has been inducted into the Park Forest Historical Society Hall of Fame.

Elliott Johnson
Trustee Johnson is President/CEO of Heyward & Johnson, Inc. He also serves as V. P. of the School District 159 Board of Directors and Chairman of the Dist. 159 Education Foundation. He is an Economic Development Consultant to the Village of Matteson, and a former Commissioner of the Village of Matteson Planning Commission.

 

Nick Bobis

Nick Bobis was a teacher and guidance counselor for 38 years in Thornton Township High School District 205 before retiring in 2003.  For the past seven years, Bobis has served on the Southern Pines Condominium Association Board, including a term as president. He is also a member of the Friends of the Tinley Park Public Library. A Greek-American, Bobis is an active member of his church, Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Chuch in Palos Hills. In 2008, Bobis received an American

Teacher Award as part of the Disney Channel’s “Salute to Teachers.”
