If you are age 60 years or older or disabled, live in Rich Township, and have an established need for services, we are here to serve you. There are no requirements to participate in our social activities-all are welcome!
Information and Referral: We offer assistance and information about available township programs as well as referrals to other agencies as needed. (Back to top)
Transportation: Door-to-door service to seniors as well as younger handicapped adults. Reserve your ride two days in advance, or one hour ahead for shopping. (Back to top)
Sharing and Caring: Senior volunteers periodically contact Township residents to offer information, assistance and companionship. Volunteer today! (Back to top)
CNN/Rich Senior Dining : Hot lunch for a suggested donation of $2.00. Call 708.747.2700 for reservations. Located in our Senior Center at 297 Liberty Drive in Park Forest. You do not have to be a Rich Township resident. (Back to top)
Informal Counseling: Personal
or Family Problems? Our Senior Case Manager is available to counsel you in
our Senior Center or in your home. (Back to top)
Income Tax Assistance: Free
service by trained volunteers will to prepare income tax returns from February
1st through April 15th Monday through Friday. (Back to top)
Telephone Reassurance Calls: Our staff will check daily on the well-being of seniors with particular health problems and needs. If you know someone who would benefit from a daily check-in, contact us. (Back to top)
Senior Companion Program: Active seniors are assigned to those seniors needing companionship and other services on a regular basis. (Back to top)
In-Home Services: Light housekeeping, shopping and laundry for seniors needing such assistance. Screened In-Home Workers are available after an in-home evaluation establishes a need. (Back to top)
Extend-A-Meal: Home delivered meals to those who are unable to prepare their own. Based on an in-home assessment, one may be eligible for one hot noon meal delivered five days a week. (Back to top)

Health Stop: A variety of
health screenings such as cholesterol, urinalysis, diabetes, anemia, hearing,
and height and weight check are available on the fourth Thursday of each month
from 10 .a.m to noon are provided by the Park Forest Health Department. (Back to top)
Walking Club: Meets on Tuesday
mornings at 9:00 a.m. to walk the Old Plank Road Trail, weather permitting,
or in Lincoln Mall on cold or rainy days. It is a good way to meet new people
